Cookie Policy
The cookies and local-storage items Pepechura uses, which are strictly necessary and why, and how to withdraw your analytics consent at any time.

1. Cookies and local storage
A cookie is a small text file saved to your browser when you visit a site. Local storage does much the same job; the difference is that its contents are not sent to the server with every request. We use both, and we hold both to the same rule.
2. What we use
The list below is complete. We use no advertising cookies, no social media pixels and no third-party tracking scripts.
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| pp_theme | Local storage · Strictly necessary | Pepechura (first party) | Remembers the light/dark theme you picked. | Until you clear it |
| pp_consent | Local storage · Strictly necessary | Pepechura (first party) | Stores your cookie choice, its version and its date — the only way we can remember what you decided. | 12 months |
| pp_msg | Local storage · Strictly necessary | Pepechura (first party) | A message draft carried from another page to the contact form. Deleted the moment the form opens. | Transient |
| pp_quote | Local storage · Strictly necessary | Pepechura (first party) | Your selections in the quote wizard, so a page refresh doesn’t send you back to step one. Stays in your browser; never reaches us. | Until you clear it |
| _ga | Cookie · Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another. | 2 years | |
| _ga_* | Cookie · Analytics | Persists session state. | 2 years |
The strictly necessary items exist to remember a decision you made — your theme, your cookie choice — not to remember you. Without them your choice would be lost on every page load, which is why they are not subject to consent.
3. How your consent works
On your first visit, analytics cookies are off. Until you consent, the Google Analytics script is never loaded into your browser at all — so choosing "reject" leaves nothing behind to clean up.
We use Google Consent Mode v2: advertising and ad-personalisation signals are sent as "denied" in every case, because we run no ad measurement on this site. The analytics signal turns to "granted" only if you say so.
Accepting and rejecting are offered with equal ease, and withholding consent blocks access to no part of the site.
4. Changing or withdrawing your choice
The "Cookie preferences" link at the foot of every page reopens the choice at any time. Withdrawing consent immediately disables analytics storage and deletes any _ga cookies already written to your browser.
Your preference is stored for 12 months; after that, or whenever we make a material change to this policy, we ask again.
5. Browser settings
Independently of all this, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary items means your theme and cookie choices will not be remembered; the rest of the site keeps working.
